DANA’S PSYCHOLOGY BACKGROUND

Denver Psychotherapist

Psychology and how humans work have drawn my interest since I was a child.

It is out of this lifelong interest that my career developed. What guides my work is a recognition that each person is unique.Just as we each have a unique thumb print, we have unique perspectives, and unique brain processes. Because of this, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for everyone.

PSYCHOLOGY, EXPRESSIVE THERAPY & PSYCHOANALYTIC EDUCATION

I am a Colorado state Licensed Counselor (LPC) and have been a psychotherapist since 1999.  I completed my graduate studies in Expressive Therapy at Lesley University in Boston, and earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Colorado College.  To better understand and treat a wide variety of issues related to personality, sexuality, and aggression, I sought specialized post-graduate training at the Oregon Psychoanalytic Institute and earned a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.  I value on-going professional growth and pursue this through continuing education offered by the Denver Psychoanalytic Society.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY, PSYCHOTHERAPY & COUNSELING EXPERIENCE

I have extensive experience treating men, women and adolescents facing all kinds of life challenges. My work is confidential and without discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or any other factor. I use a personalized approach which places high value on the therapeutic relationship and is tailored to your individual needs.
